                                                                                   PFAA MISSION STATEMENT

PFAA& Gallery is a focused movement that fosters creativity by nurturing and celebrating the artist in every child, while pursuing emerging artist to exhibit at the Gallery.

We do this by engaging children to make art and provide them with qualified professionals to help sustain and fuel that creativity.  Imprinting on children the power of their creative sense and helping them to develop it is key to their future as artists, writers’, architects, engineers, designers and art collectors.  The child’s experience brings awareness of the importance of art to all of the adults in their lives.  Increasing awareness that in turn helps us to educate new collectors.

Children initiate their creative thinking abilities before they develop reading, writing or arithmetic skill.  It is this creativity comfort and connection with the visual work that drive Ms. Hernandez and Mrs. Deas to cultivate their innovation in everything they do.  It is too critical to leave a child’s creative sense to atrophy when they start on the path of their academic life.  It drives the other subjects.  It is what moves them to new ideas and advancements. PFAA encourages children to view adults work (if appropriate) to stimulate ideas, theories and conversation!

Arts Alive: Ms. Hernandez and Mrs. Deas are also involved with St. Johns County’s Education Foundations Art Alive Program.  The programs reaches every student in the county.

Our focus is to bring art education and instruction to young and old.  To encourage, discuss and inspire an appreciation and understanding of all subjects and styles.
